Peace Health's Teen Health Expo Coming 2/20
On Friday 2/20/26, PeaceHealth Medical Group (the medical sponsor of our on-site school-based health center) will be hosting a Teen Health Expo for our North students during the school day in the Commons.  Included in the event is the opportunity for students to participate in a free heart screening.  Children who appear healthy can have hidden heart problems, including ones that are life-threatening.  Pre-participation sports physicals do not include an EKG; it is strongly encouraged for student athletes or students who perform physical labor to get an EKG screening.  If an abnormality can be identified early, it can be monitored and treated.  The screening includes blood pressure, height and weight measurements along with a free EKG and on-site review by a Cardiologist. Sign up via Parent Square; instructions are included in the attached flyer.  Spots are limited so don't wait.

Pre-ACT Testing Day coming on April 9

Dear 10th grade families,On Thursday, April 9, your 10th grader will be taking the PreACT. This day is an early release day.
This test is provided, for free, by the Oregon Department of Education. It is an opportunity for all 10th graders in Oregon to take a college entrance practice test, helping us see that your child is on track for college and career readiness.

With the PreACT, you and your child can get useful information to help guide them to choose the right high school courses, think about ways to work on areas for improvement, and continue discussions about their college and career interests.
To learn more about the test, see the infographic, 6 Ways PreACT Helps You, or call your school office.
