Next week is the week! Homecoming assembly is a Thursday ASSEMBLY schedule and the Highlander football game and special halftime show is on Thursday night!


Class of 2025 Graduation Orders have begun
IB/CTE Parent Night - October 14
Come learn more about our IB / CTE programs at NEHS! We will meet on Monday, October 14 from 7-8 pm in the NEHS Library to present information about our IB pathways, explain our CTE programs, and answer any questions you have. 
This meeting will be more geared toward 9th and 10th grade families, but older students and their families are welcome to attend as well. Hope to see you there! Mid-Willamette College Fair

    Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend the "Mid-Willamette College Fair" field trip at the University of Oregon's McArthur Court on Thursday, October 10th, from 9:45am - 11:45am.

    The Mid-Willamette College Fair will include over 60 college and university representatives from around the country sharing admissions information, financial aid information, guidance on campus living and transitioning support. 
    The College and Career Center is hosting transportation - Come ride the bus with us! Limited spots available. RSVP ASAP! The first 80 students to reply will get a seat on the field trip.
    Important THREE Must-Do Instructions to Sign up: 
    1. Email Catherine in the College Career Center to reserve your spot on the bus. (moran_c@4j.lane.edu) Include your name and your grade level.
    2. Return signed permission slip by next Monday, September 23rd to the COUNSELING CENTER. (See attachment)
    3. REGISTER HERE!

Work Study Opportunities at 4J Elementary Schools

Hello NEHS Student,

  •        Do you want a small part-time job working for Eugene 4J School District?
  •        Are you 16 years old or older?
  •        Do you have 2 hours per day available, Monday - Friday, anytime before 4pm?
  •        GPA requirement: 2.5 or higher

   Two of our local North region elementary schools are looking to hire a NEHS student. Spring Creek Elementary and River Road El Camino Elementary are both hiring Work Study students for their "Front Office Aide" positions. ** Students who speak Spanish are especially encouraged to apply for the River Road El Camino position.

   This position is 2 hours a day in the front office helping file paperwork, answering the phone, running notes to classes, and fulfilling other general office duties. Students must be available to work for the entire school year. Pay is minimum wage = $14.70/hr.

Become and Oregon Resource Parent
Oregon Department of Human Services, Child Welfare currently has 647 children and youth in foster care in Lane County. 
 
We are often struggling to find homes when kids come into foster care. We are in need of more resource (foster) parents and respite providers. Please read the attached flier below if you're interested in ​fostering a youth.
