  • Pink lines and arrows indicate open pathways for use.
  • Essentially, everything outside of the red areas will remain accessible.

LANE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH & GOVERNMENT

Neurodiversity Family Support Night
Hello Families, Grandparents, Extended Family, Caregivers, Educators, Administrators, Board Members and Community Members,

Hoping you all had some terrific family time this summer and are looking forward to what this new school year has to offer!!

Please review our Neurodiversity Family Support Night line-up of magnificent speakers and topics for the Fall months of September, October and November.  Note: As requested by many folks last year, we have MOVED this event to THURSDAY EVENINGS in the hope that many more of you will be able to attend!! Also, this is a community wide offering and NOT affiliated with any particular school district.   We will NOT be meeting in December as we know it is an extremely busy month and we want you to enjoy time with your families.  Since your time is incredibly valuable, we have thoughtfully considered speakers and topics that we felt would be of most value to you over the 2024-2025 school year.  **We would love to hear suggestions and requests for future speakers & topics, so please feel free to share them with us at the Neurodiversity Family Support Nights, as you RSVP to Sina Gilbert, or to this email address.

We are thrilled to offer some new supports this year!!  As you can see, we are now offering childcare, food, and Spanish Interpretation. ## Please make sure to RSVP for food, childcare, and spanish interpretation by the 15th of the month!!

Alexis and myself (Dani) launched the first Neurodiversity Family Support Night in January 2023 and found our outreach very appreciated, needed and wanted by many of you.  We found that lack of childcare kept many from being able to attend, so when Laura Dahill and Pam Ring of Families Connected reached out to us and asked to partner with us, we answered with a resounding "YES"!!

We hope many of you will also answer with a resounding "YES" to attend each of our Neurodiversity Family Support Nights!!  Your children and your families will thank you for stepping into these once monthly gatherings!!  Please remember to forward this email & flyers, share this on any social media, any work bulletin boards, other parent organizations you are part of and make sure to ask a couple of friends, neighbors, co-workers to join you...  Everyone will THANK YOU!!!

Learn to Ride a Bike - A Free, All Ages, Drop-In Event For Not-Yet-Riders! (flyer linked here)

Monday, October 7, 4:30-6:30 pm4J Education Center, 200 North Monroe St, Eugene

Do you or your child want to learn how to ride a bike? Join 4J, Bethel, and Springfield Safe Routes to School programs, the City of Eugene, the City of Springfield, and Shift Community Cycles for this fun event with bike checks, free helmets and information about bike share.

We’ll start with balancing and gliding without pedals or training wheels. Some will learn to pedal in one session, while others may need more practice to reach that final goal. You don’t need your own bike to participate, but please bring a helmet and bike if you have one. Contact Safe Routes to School at mazze_s@4j.lane.edu or albee_b@4j.lane.edu with questions or to volunteer.
