Welcome to June, Highlanders ❤️💛
We have officially entered the final stretch of the 2025–2026 school year, and these last two weeks are packed with celebrations, traditions, and a little bit of organized chaos.
Seniors: June 1–5 is Technology Return Week, with drop-off opportunities available all week long. We’re also looking ahead to IB Graduation on June 3, Freshmen Day of Caring and Junior Speeches on June 4, and a full lineup of senior events on Friday, June 5, including Senior Breakfast, the Goodbye Assembly, Senior Recess, and Graduation Rehearsal before Graduation on Saturday, June 6.
Please remember that our final week (June 8 - 13) includes several special schedules and adjusted routines throughout the building.
Enjoy every second of the craziness — these moments only happen once! |

❤️ Freshmen Day of Caring is one of our favorite Highlander traditions. Each year, our freshmen head back into neighboring schools and community spaces to give back, connect with younger students, and spread kindness throughout our community.
From reading with kids and helping teachers to cleaning up playgrounds and bringing positive energy to classrooms, this day is all about service, leadership, and showing what it means to be a Highlander.
It’s a full-circle moment — our students returning to the schools that helped shape them, now as role models for the next generation. 💛❤️ |
Our next Site Council meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 10. Site Council is an opportunity for families, staff, students, and community members to come together to discuss school goals, planning, and important updates at North Eugene High School.
We appreciate everyone who takes the time to participate and support our school community 💛 More details and meeting information will be shared soon. |

Hello Junior Families,
It’s almost time for the Class of 2026 to pass the torch to the Class of 2027 Senior Night Committee! 🎓❤️💛
One of the first fundraising opportunities for next year’s senior all-night grad party is coming up June 27–28 at the Savannah Bananas event at the University of Oregon, and we are looking for volunteers ages 14+ to help work concessions.
This is a great way to jump in early, meet other junior families, and help start building support for next year’s seniors. Volunteers with food handler cards and/or OLCC permits are especially helpful, but all support is appreciated!
Sign up here: Questions? Contact junior parent volunteer Sarah Baer at sbaer4423@gmail.com or connect through the parent Facebook group.
Thank you for helping keep this NEHS tradition going strong for our students!

How will our community get from point A to point B in 20 years? Lane Transit District (LTD) is forming a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for Connect 2045, a long-range plan for public transportation. This plan will outline a vision for a more sustainable and easy-to-use transit system in Lane County—and the steps to make it happen. We’re looking for community groups and individuals (including students 16 and up - like you!) to help guide the process. Members will attend four 2-hour meetings between this Summer and Fall of 2027, sharing feedback and reviewing materials. The application takes about 5 minutes. Selected members will receive a stipend and free bus passes. Your voice can help shape the future of transit in our community. Please apply by May 31. Questions? Email Connect2045@ltd.org.

The history village includes a replica cedar plankhouse and he is also planning to bring a tipi. There will be many booths and reenactors, fun activities, live music, pet-a-goat and more!
