Hello Highlander Families,
It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and we’re excited to celebrate the incredible educators who show up for our students every single day. Their dedication, care, and heart make North the place it is 💛
We’re wrapping up the week with a Dessert Bar on Friday, May 8, and we’d love your help in making it extra special. If you’re able, consider dropping off a treat in the front office that morning — all desserts are welcome (we appreciate gluten-free and vegan options too!).
Looking ahead, it’s a full week at North: IB exams begin next week, our theater production of Fiddler on the Roof continues, and PROM is this weekend on May 9 ✨
📌 A quick reminder: guest request slips are due Wednesday
Thank you for helping us celebrate our staff and support our students during this busy and exciting time of year!

We’re hosting a Dessert Bar on Friday during lunch as a small way to say THANK YOU, and we’re inviting families to contribute if they’re able.
👉 You can drop off desserts in the front office the morning of Friday, May 8
👉 All treats are welcome — homemade or store-bought
👉 We do have some gluten-free needs and a couple of vegan staff members if you’re able to accommodate
This is always such a special way for our staff to feel appreciated, and we’re so grateful for the support of our families in making it happen.
Thank you for helping us take care of the people who take such great care of our students 💛

Hello Highlander Families,
It is very important that students attend Advisory on Tuesday, May 5 for forecasting.
During this time, students will be finalizing their course selections for next year. This is a key step in building an accurate schedule, and we want to make sure every student is present and supported.
If you have not yet seen your student’s forecasting sheet, please ask them to share it with you and take a few minutes to talk through their choices together.
Thank you for your partnership in helping your student plan ahead! 💛
|
Forecasting for the 2026–2027 school year begins next week and will take place during upcoming Advisory lessons and IN OTHER CLASSES.
Students will be exploring course options, learning about pathways, and selecting classes for next year over the following dates:
📅 May 5 – Course entry into Synergy (final step)
We encourage families to talk with your student throughout this process — ask about classes they’re considering, their interests, and their plans for next year.
You can also review the Curriculum Guide together here:
This is an important opportunity for students to make thoughtful choices about their academic path, and your support makes a big difference.
|
|
IB testing runs May 4–May 13 — we’re wishing all of our IB students focus, confidence, and success as they show what they know 💪
📅 Be sure to check the public calendar for specific dates and times
You’ve got this, Highlanders! 💛

Dear Students, Parents, and Faculty,
Our talented artists have submitted beautiful multi-media pet portraits that now brighten the walls of the Veterinary Hospital across the street—a community clinic that has cared for animals and
their families for more than four decades.
We are thrilled to invite you to visit the Veterinary Hospital to see the North Eugene High School Pet Portrait Exhibition where students share the love they feel for their pets through this special art
exhibition. Your drawings, paintings, or mixed‑media pieces will be displayed at the Veterinary Hospital, giving the clinic’s visitors a glimpse of the creativity and compassion that lives in our school
community.
Student’s artwork brightens a place where people come for their pet’s comfort and care. Imagine a visitor’s smile when they see North Eugene High School student artist’s portrait of a wagging tail or a cat curled up in a sunny spot. Art student’s pet portrait art spreads joy, raises awareness about responsible pet ownership, and shows how much our animal friends mean to us.
A heartfelt thank‑you to Blick’s Art Supplies
This spring’s exhibition would not have been possible without the generous support of Blick Gives Back. Blick contributed a $497.56 grant of brushes and water‑colors, which our artists used to create the vibrant mixed‑media pieces featured in the show. Their commitment to arts education helps our students share the love they feel for their pets with the broader community.
