Special Olympics Unified Program's Parent Night 

Hello North Eugene Families,

Is your student interested in being a part of the Special Olympics Unified Community here at North Eugene High School? We would love to welcome all students and families that are interested in participating in the Unified Program to our Parent Night. 

The Unified Program is part of the Special Olympics, bringing together students with and without intellectual disabilities to play on the same team, build friendships, and promote inclusion across our school community. Through sports, leadership opportunities, and school-wide activities, Unified gives every student the chance to belong, contribute, and shine.

For all interested students and families, we will have a Parent Information Night.  The Special Olympics Unified Program's Parent Night will be happening on Tuesday, September 16th from 6:00-7:00pm in the North Eugene College Career Center.

At this meeting, we will: 

• Share an overview of the Unified program

• Discuss our goals for the year

• Talk about upcoming fundraising opportunities

• Highlight details about our fall soccer season

• Discuss the rest of the school year

This is a great chance to connect, ask questions, and learn how we can work together to make this a fantastic year for our Unified athletes and partners. We have roles in multiple programs that we'd love to share about. We hope you can join us!

NEHS Dance Team Fundraiser
Checks can be made out to NEHS Dance.
 Great for teachers, neighbors, friends, family, coworkers! These pies are goooood and they arrive frozen, so they last nearly a year! It’s a great time to stock up for the holidays and Summer 2026 pie cravings.  Pie pick up day is October 21st, time is TBD.


NORTH REGION COMMUNITY NEWS

Class of 2026 - Senior Grad Party

What: NEHS 2026 Grad Night
Where: TBD (venues are being reviewed now)
When: Saturday, June 6th, 2026 from 10pm to 2AM
Who: All 2026 NEHS Senior graduates

Our event will be a fun, safe, and sober all-night event for the entire graduating class of 2026. The party will include food & beverages, games, music, entertainment, and prizes for all attending seniors.

We have an ~$11K fundraising goal for the event itself, plus all 265 seniors will leave this memorable event with at least one gift in their hands through donations collected from our Lane County community. This might seem like a lot, but is easily achieved with more helping hands! IT’S FOOTBALL SEASON!

North Eugene HS 1975 District Champion and State Semi-Finalist Football Team
This is Robin Pflugrad and Eric Staniak—calling all teammates and coaches of the NEHS ’75
football team! It’s been 50 years since we played on arguably the very best football team in

North Eugene history!

We are reaching out to see if there’s interest in having a ’75 football team reunion at NEHS’s
Homecoming game: Friday, October 24 th / 7:00p @ North Eugene HS. Entrance into the game is

free for members of the ’75 team.

We are also asking for donations to the football program—remember,
back in the day, we didn’t have to pay to play! There is no obligation, but any donation is

appreciated (current participation fees are $200).

Let’s get together, share some stories, memories and honor our late football coach, Bob “Andy”
Anderson, who will be inducted into the North Eugene Hall of Fame February 7 th , 2026.
We are considering an informal pre-game gathering to share stories…stay tuned ��
