Announcing our 2025-2026 NEHS Drama season!

It's almost theatre season! Here at North Eugene High School, we're already getting ready, licensing productions, cleaning the auditorium, and setting the schedules. And we've already chosen our productions for the year! Tickets will be available for purchase in September. Read on to see what we have in store:

Little Women

Adapted for the stage by Marisa Chamberlain

Chamberlain's play adaptation of "Little Women" retells Louisa May Alcott's classic story of the four March sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy – as they come of age in Civil War-era New England. The play captures the girls' struggles with poverty, illness, and sibling rivalries, alongside their burgeoning dreams and aspirations. Meg yearns for a family, Jo for a writing career, Beth for domesticity and music, and Amy for artistry and status.

The play emphasizes themes of family, love, individual growth, and the evolving role of women in 19th-century society.

Running November 13th through the 27th

Eight Minutes Left

A play by e.b. lee

This play is a play set in Charlesville, New Jersey, where the residents face the sudden, imminent end of the world at 4:44 PM. The play explores the human response to this apocalypse through a series of vignettes featuring different characters in their final moments. The play captures the absurdity, humor, and fear that emerge in the face of impending doom.

Directed by Robin Galan-Hill

Running January 14th through the 16th

The Wizard of Oz (Youth Edition)

By L. Frank Baum. Music

and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg

This is the musical that we'll produce for this year's Corridor production, in which we cast 4th through 8th-grade students from the North region. These musicals are a blast, and this one might prove to be the best Corridor production yet! We're moving auditions to mid-December, so check out the Corridor Productions page on this website and mark your calendar!

This production comes courtesy of Concord Theatricals of New York.

Registration opens November 1st

Auditons are December 8th through the 12th

Runnig Febraury 26th through the 28th

Fiddler on the Roof

Book by Joseph Stein. Music by Jerry Bock,

and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick.

Fiddler on the Roof centers around Tevye, a Jewish milkman living in the village of Anatevka, Ukraine, in 1905. The story revolves around Tevye's efforts to maintain his religious and cultural traditions amidst encroaching outside influences, which he sees as "Tradition" being like a fiddler on a roof, trying to stay balanced. The challenges to tradition are particularly highlighted by the choices of his three oldest daughters. Don't miss this emotional classic!

This production comes courtesy of Musical Theatre International of New York.

Running April 30th through May 9th

NORTH REGION COMMUNITY NEWS

Class of 2026 - Senior Grad Party

What: NEHS 2026 Grad Night
Where: TBD (venues are being reviewed now)
When: Saturday, June 6th, 2026 from 10pm to 2AM
Who: All 2026 NEHS Senior graduates

Our event will be a fun, safe, and sober all-night event for the entire graduating class of 2026. The party will include food & beverages, games, music, entertainment, and prizes for all attending seniors.

We have an ~$11K fundraising goal for the event itself, plus all 265 seniors will leave this memorable event with at least one gift in their hands through donations collected from our Lane County community. This might seem like a lot, but is easily achieved with more helping hands! Please click here to share your level of interest in volunteering for this event: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScO18ahCMKAYpyruKcenYgE7b7Drmmj47Yi9ZrWsE_dQDpSjg/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=115817391218540803768
