Principal’s Update 5/24/21

Principal’s Note

Last week gave us an opportunity to honor our seniors with both a virtual awards ceremony and the chance to pick up their caps/gowns, lawn signs and get a professional photo.  We greatly enjoyed the opportunity to see our seniors and their families!  As we begin this next week, our season 4 athletics are well underway and we are thinking ahead to summer programs.  Please see below for multiple opportunities for parent engagement and assistance for families.

Finally, we know these last weeks of the school year with be full of information to communicate.  Please be sure to keep an eye on email and our website, and, for all the latest news and updates, please follow us on our official Facebook and Instagram accounts @northeugenehighschool.

Senior Updates: Latest on Graduation

In addition to our virtual graduation on the evening of June 10th, we will also be hosting in-person commencement events on Saturday, June 12th, at Swede Johnson Stadium.  Currently, in order to maximize the number of spectators in attendance, we will be hosting two ceremonies on this date (2:00 pm and 4:00 pm); with half of the graduating class at each ceremony.  The number of spectators will be determined by the county’s risk level at the time of the event:

Extreme Risk: Members of the graduating class only (no on-site spectators)
High or Moderate Risk: Each graduate will receive two tickets for guests
All Risk Levels: Graduation ceremonies will be live-streamed for an unlimited number of viewers

*Our events will be outside, rain or shine*

Additional details will be forthcoming regarding which ceremony your student will be invited to participate in and when/how tickets will be distributed.  Any changes to the details above will be communicated as soon as we receive the updates.
