Welcome Class of 2025

We are so excited to welcome you to North Eugene High School.

Forecasting Information

Forecasting is how we describe the process for choosing classes for the upcoming school year.  It is an important process that requires student and parent participation.  Our school uses the forecasting info to build schedules for students and to ensure that they can take courses that interest them and contribute to their holistic education.  Students making course requests during forecasting should understand their graduation requirements and what courses suit their interests, especially regarding college and career readiness.

Middle school students will begin selecting courses from March 8th through March 18th depending on which campus they attend.  The course selection window in StudentVue will be open until March 24th.

8th Grade Preview Night

On Thursday, March 18th NEHS hosted its annual 8th Grade Preview Night for all families attending North next year.  If you missed the meeting or would like to watch it again links are provided below. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about North, its programs, athletics, electives, and just about everything.

Navigating the NEHS Course Selection Handbook

The most important tool during forecasting is the Course Selection Handbook.  The handbook features vital information on classes that we offer, graduation requirements, CTE pathways, and lots of other info.  Click the link below to download a copy of it onto your device:

Electives Fair

During forecasting, students will be able to view videos to learn more about elective courses that they find interesting.  These videos were from our recent elective fair in which teachers hosted 8-10 minute info sessions on Zoom to highlight their courses.  To learn more about elective courses, programs, and other courses, check out the NEHS Course Selection Handbook above.

Using the Forecasting Worksheet

A primary and necessary step in forecasting is using the Forecasting Worksheet to do some planning and preparation for entering courses into Synergy.  Below are links to each of the grade level worksheets (remember to select the worksheet for next year’s grade level) as well as a video explaining how to complete the worksheet.
