NEHS Principal Update

Principal’s Note

This week brings another full five days of classes.  We dive into the third week of Forecasting – please see below for important reminders about this process of planning for next school year and thank you in advance for your help and participation!  Our first sports season gets underway on Monday and there is trivia for students on Tuesday night.  Things are busy, but we are excited about the additional opportunities for students.  As always, if there are questions, please reach out!

Schedule for this Week

Monday: ‘A’ day (P1, P2, P3), live instruction begins at 8:30 am
Tuesday: ‘B’ day (P4, P5, P0), live instruction begins at 8:30 am
Wednesday: Advisory, live at 10:15 am
Thursday: ‘A’ day (P1, P2, P3), live instruction begins at 8:30 am
Friday: ‘B’ day (P4, P5, P0), live instruction begins at 8:30 am


Forecasting Week 3

Thank you for the support in reminding your students about forecasting over the last couple of weeks!  During Advisory this week on February 24thstudents will officially enter course requests into Synergy.  Remember that the course selection handbook and the forecasting worksheets should be used as tools when choosing classes.  Please take time to go over your student’s choices at home and feel free to visit our website for lots of updated information, instructional videos, and links to all of the materials for forecasting – including our Electives Fair!  The course selection window will open during Advisory on February 24th and students will be able to add, remove, make changes, or updates to their course selections until March 3rd.

Athletic Update – Season 2 Set to Start

Official Season 2 practice begins on Monday, 2/22/21, for all sports below:

  • Football, Soccer, Cross Country, Cheer, Dance, Volleyball

Yearbook Deadline – Senior Baby Ads

Senior recognition ads (also known as baby ads) are available to purchase now. Congratulate your student in the annual Graduation Messages in the yearbook! Graduation messages are a great way for parents, guardians, or loved ones to show their pride for their graduating senior! Space is limited, so reserve a place for your graduating senior by February 28, 2021 There are two ways to submit your photos and text. Baby Ad Form – this is the preferred way Email nercessian_n@4j.lane.edu
