Good morning North Eugene, these are your Wednesday morning announcements for 2/17/2021.

Forecasting continues this week in advisory!  You’ll be completing the forecasting worksheet and getting a glimpse of what your course requests will look like.  This is a vital step in planning for next year.  Be sure to attend Advisory this week to get the info and the time to complete the worksheet.  Also, if you missed something last week, visit our website to get the info:  NEHS.4j.lane.edu.   Thanks!

La Raices Unidadas Youth Conference will be a virtual event on Friday, February 26 from 10 am-2:30 pm. The theme this year is “Nuestra Lucha Sigue” or “Our Fight Continues” in the hopes of inspiring our youth to fight for change, strive for equity, and demonstrate unity amongst all Latinx communities. For more information on the guest speakers, workshops, and registration click on the link: https://www.accelevents.com/e/ruyc2021 If you need any help registering or have any questions about the conference contact Abril Lopez on Canvas or via email lopez_a@4j.lane.edu.

Are you a member of the LGBTQIA+ community?  Are you an ally (pronounced “al I”)?  Are you trying to figure yourself out? The NEHS Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is meeting virtually every Wednesday from 1-2 pm.  The purpose of this Affinity group is to create a safe place for students to be themselves.  To get the Zoom link, go to the student clubs page on the NEHS website and fill out the form that is linked there. You can also email Ms. Myers (myers_t@4j.lane.edu) or Jennifer Harris (harris_j@4j.lane.edu).  We hope you come check it out and join in on the fun.  All are welcome!

Are you a North family in need of supplemental food, clothing, or toiletries? North Eugene has a small pantry and clothing closet to help students in need. If you are in need of assistance, please fill out the form on the NEHS Website. You can find it under today’s morning announcements.
