Use Firefox for Worpdress

Some of the TinyMCE plug-in (lets you change font family, size and is responsible for lots of those other icons)  doesn’t work in other browsers

Why use H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 and H6 headings?

In the paragraph dropdown you will see ‘headings’.  When a search engine like Google searches the web, it looks for headings.  Headings help fine tune the search for your webpage.  The downside is that they create a lot of line space before and after the header.

Want a line break?  ( Do you want to add some separation between lines or objects?)

Just type [-break-] without the dashes.  [-break-] keeps TinyMCE and WordPress from stripping the code and allows the linebreak.  You might have to put in two or three breaks before it shows up on a page.

Want an extra space between words or objects?

Click on the icon with the red diagonal line through it.  The icon is about fourth from the right in the top row.  This might not work if you are using the Chrome or Safari browser.  It works in Firefox.

North Eugene Red Font #9F1022

#9F1022 matches the dark red NE theme background.  Use colored fonts sparingly.  Too many colors is unprofessional and irritating. Yellow and other bright light colors are bad. Use NE red color 9F1022 and use the B button to make a phrase bold.  Don’t use bold for more than a sentence or it loses it’s impact.  This paragraph has too much bold.  Ouch, those colors are killing me.

Images

1) Important: Upload your images at 72 dpi.  They will load fast and still look good.
2) Not so important: When resizing images, the width is listed first

    • 600 x 400 would a ratio of 6 wide by 4 high

The 2010 Theme header is 940 x 198
