Last Friday, February 22 the state Youth Tournament was held in the River house, located in Bend. 11 members of the North Eugene Archery Team braved storm conditions to compete in the 2013 state Youth Tournament.

Attention all students this a very special announcement from your campus principal Eric Anderson: There is no school this Friday. Breakfast and lunch will be served but you must sign up in the cafeteria before Friday.

Due to complications the talent show has been postponed until March 8th. The talent show will now be held at 7 p.m. on Friday March 8th.

Attention Seniors! OSAC scholarship and Oregon School Employees Association deadline is this Friday, March 1 at 5pm.

FAFSASeniors who still need to complete their FAFSA will be able to do so at the FAFSA Blitz being held on Wednesday, March 13th and Tuesday, March 19th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the College Career Center in Room 209. Counselors will walk seniors down to the center in order to complete their FAFSA. Seniors are asked to bring their social security numbers with them. We encourage ALL seniors to complete the FAFSA.

7th Annual African American Youth Leadership Conference is April 4, 2013 at Western Oregon University from 8:30am- 1:00pm. See your counselor for an application. Registration Deadline is March 15.

We’re currently looking for students of NEHS that participate in extreme sports and have photos of themselves playing the sport. This is for a page in the year book covering extreme sports, this might include; sky diving, skateboarding, snow boarding, ice skating, riding ATV, dirt bikes or BMX, Rodeo, surfing, If you have photos of yourself participating in a sport email the photo and your name to zinman35@4j.lane.edu or bring them to Mr. Sherman in room 302.

Attention–due to increased demand, we have permission to extend the deadline for ordering a yearbook. The price is still $75, but if you didn’t order a yearbook, you now have until March 7th to order your yearbook in the Student Finance office. We can take check, cash or credit card.

winterwrestleCongratulations to Dalton Pachano who finished in 3rd place this weekend at the state wrestling meet.

Congratulations also to our Nordic Ski team:
Helen Cutting won the Classic Nordic Ski State title.
Relay team of Rheanna Williams, Claire Petitt, and Helen Cutting won the State Title
Helen came in third in Skate skiing and earned second place in the combined events.
The Girls Nordic ski team was third overall at the State race.

South Eugene Rowing Club is back on the water, and all Eugene highschoolers are invited to try out!
