Family Resource Center

NEHS has opened a Family Resource Center this fall to provide additional supports for families with a variety of needs.  The primary purpose of the Center is to help families address barriers to their student’s school success and offer practical ideas on how to address some of those barriers. It is a place to access resources such as clothing, school supplies and back packs for those in need on a case-by-case basis.

Services include: On site mental health counseling for students and family members, finding community resources, and many other services.

HEALTHY KIDS is a new program that provides free or low-cost health coverage for Oregon kids and teens that don’t have health insurance. Even kids with current health conditions can enroll. Coverage lasts for at least one year and can be extended as long as the child is still eligible.
Household income can’t be more that 300 percent of the federal poverty level, which is about $66,000 for a family of four. Income level depends on family size, so for smaller families, the limit is smaller.

For larger families, the limit is larger.
