Congratulations to our very own, Cesar O’Campo, who has been nominated as a candidate for The Newell National Athletic Trainer of the Year Award! If he is selected as the regional winner, he will advance on to be considered for The Newell National Award to win $2,500, for our school and $10,000 as the National Award recipient.
Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine wants Cesar to be recognized for his service and leadership within the local athletic community. His tireless commitment to our athletes and schools exemplifies that of the awards namesake, William E. Newell, the “Father of Athletic Training,” whose dedication and expertise created the best practices for athletic trainers around the world, molding athletic training into the highly respected profession it is today.
Congratulations Cesar! We’re lucky to have you!
Yay! Mr. Sherman’s latest gofundme project was just fully funded! In a few weeks NEHS will receive another new $2500 Makerbot Plus 3-D printer, 2-year service plan and some more plastic to make things! So far, cell phone cases, dice, figurines, board game pieces (zombies), and robots are a few of the items students have been printing. We also are scanning people and 3D printing them as figurines.
We will now have three 3-D printers to engage our career technical students with cutting edge technologies in creative art and manufacturing. North keychains are available in the Student Finance office. Call 541-790-4557 if you have an item you need 3-D printed or if you have vinyl sticker needs and the North design teams would be happy to get you a quote.

On Wednesday night (Feb. 15, 2017) a fire destroyed the North Eugene High School track shed along with all of its contents. In the shed was the majority of the NEHS track program equipment and uniforms. With track season starting on Feb. 27th Eugene School District 4j will be replacing all damaged equipment so we can have a successful season. We would like to thank the North Eugene community for the outpouring of support we have received so far during this difficult time for our track team. If you or anyone you know would like to help, please know your donation will be greatly appreciated to help enhance our program. You can send donations to:
