We are creating a learning-centered school that provides opportunities for all students to attain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become lifelong learners in a rapidly-changing, complex world.
We are a community high school committed to providing excellent instruction in a safe, caring environment. Our goal is the success of our students. The North Eugene community will measure our success as a school by the achievement of our students.
Advanced Placement courses are college-level courses that are taught at the high school. They are available in a wide variety of subject areas and they culminate in a comprehensive exam in May. Colleges and universities each have their own policies regarding the granting of college credit and/or waiver of college courses based on exam scores on this culminating exam. AP courses are rigorous and demanding, offering superior academic preparation for higher education. Taking an AP course also helps students to develop the study habits necessary for college course work, and they can help students stand out in the college admissions process. Students should check AP course prerequisites and talk with teachers and counselors when deciding to include AP courses in their four-year plan.
